FL100 ST STANDARD
Fiber-reinforced adhesive for thermal insulation boards
The FL100 ST STANDARD adhesive is used for bonding thermal insulation boards to substrates of brick walls, cellular concrete, exposed concrete, old plastered surfaces, etc. It is also used for the installation of the fiberglass mesh sheet on the outer side of the insulation board before the application of the top coat plasters. It ensures high bonding strength between the insulation boards and the substrate, as well as moisture resistance. It achieves high resistance to compression, bending, and environmental changes. It complies with: EAD 040083-00-0404, ETA 20/0778 – 20/0699 – 19/0472, in the context of MARMODOM’s BIOPANOPLY (EPS, XPS, WOOL) external thermal insulation systems, for the above uses. Homogeneous, ready-to-mix, industrial product of consistently high quality. It ensures good workability, increased application speed, it is economical and provides excellent results.

• Mixture of high specifications white cement, crushed marble of strictly selected granulometry and quality, polypropylene fibers, polymers and other special improving additives. • It complies with: EN 12004, EN 998-1 / EAD 040083-00-0404, ETA 20/0778 – 20/0699 – 19/0472. Granule size < 0.7 mm.
• The substrate must be clean, firm and free of any residues (loose particles of plaster or mortar, dust, grease, etc.) • The contents of the bag are gradually added to clean water (approximately 6.0 l/bag) under continuous stirring using an electric mixer at low speed until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. The mixture is allowed to cure for 5 minutes and then stirred again before the application. Adhesion of insulating boards to the masonry • The adhesive is applied to the surface of the insulating board either by covering the entire surface with a serrated putty knife (8-10 mm), or by partially covering at least 40% of the surface of the board (in perimeter by adding 3-4 drops in the center) with a mixture thickness of approximately 2 cm. • After a time period of 2-3 days (at low temperatures a longer period is required) from the adhesion of the insulating boards, they should be fixed with the special anchoring connectors. Installation of the fiberglass mesh • Next, a coat of adhesive approximately 3 mm thick is applied to the outer side of the insulation board and while the adhesive is still damp, the fiberglass mesh sheet is placed on the surface and embedded using a smooth putty knife, so that it is eventually completely surrounded by the adhesive. • With the application of the desired top coat plasters, the thermal insulation system is completed. • When applying the insulation boards to the wall, the temperature should not be lower than +5 °C or higher than +35 °C. • During the application of the adhesive and for a few hours afterwards, extreme climatic conditions (such as strong wind, rain, dust, direct sunlight, etc.) should be avoided. All the above mentioned thermal insulation works should start after the completion of internal plastering, flooring, etc. The FL100 ST STANDARD adhesive is used for bonding thermal insulation boards to brick wall substrates, cellular concrete, exposed concrete, old plastered surfaces etc. It is also used for the installation of the fiberglass mesh sheet on the outer side of the insulation board before the application of the finishing plasters. Before the application of thermal insulation boards (adhesion & render) it is necessary to complete the internal plastering, the application of floor renders, etc. In particular, a waiting period of at least 3-5 weeks is required after the completion of these works. WARNING FL100ST STANDARD adhesive should not be used in the following situations.
NOTES
