GS100 L FIBRE
Main layer fiber-reinforced plaster
Fiber-reinforced GS 100 L is used as a main layer plaster on interior and exterior surfaces. It is applied to masonry made of bricks, concrete, aerated concrete blocks, concrete blocks, stone, etc. It is also suitable for various repair works. Its mechanical properties, such as resistance to bending and compression, are improved compared to the non-fiber-reinforced GS 100 L while its workability remains unaffected. Homogeneous, ready-to-mix, industrial product of consistently high quality. It has high mechanical strength, excellent adhesion and resistance to moisture and frost. It ensures good workability, increased application speed, it is economical and provides excellent results.
• Mortar made of high specifications grey cement, crushed marble of strictly selected granulometry and quality, hydrated lime, polypropylene fibers and special improving additives. • It is classified according to EN 998-1 standard: 2016 as a plaster of type: GP, CS III, Wc2 – Granule size <2.4 mm.
The substrate must be clean and firm and it is recommended that it is wetted before application. • The contents of the bag are gradually added to clean water (approximately 5.0 l/bag) using traditional concrete mixers or modern plastering machines. Fiber-reinforced GS 100 L is applied over the mortar layer for “gunite” (GM 50) either by hand using a trowel or directly with the plastering machine. It can also be applied directly onto wall surfaces. • To prevent cracks & stresses between different types of substrates such as concrete, brick, aerated concrete blocks, etc., the use of fiberglass mesh sheets is required. Apply first the 1/3 of the plaster, then the fiberglass mesh sheet and finally the remaining 2/3 of the plaster. After the application, the surface is smoothed with a metal bar (level). It is recommended to wet it during the first two days. • To protect exposed corners from possible damage and for surface smoothing purposes, use corner beads. • Fiber-reinforced GS 100 L, as a main layer plaster, is intended to be overlaid with decorative finishing plasters such as TC 500 FINE, DECOPLASTER or BIOPLASTER-type pasty plasters. When sufficiently “dried” it is scrubbed with a hawk or a hard wet sponge leaving a “combed” final surface slightly rough but flat, which is to be covered with decorative plaster. Before applying the decorative plaster, the fiber-reinforced GS 100 L must be thoroughly dry. Depending on the season, it will take at least 2-3 days. • If the main layer is not to be covered with decorative plaster, it can be smoothed by hand, rubbing in circular movements using a float with a hard wet sponge. For best results, afterwards use a float with a dry sponge. • The application of the plaster should be carried out at temperatures between +5 oC and +35 oC. Ready-mixed plasters must not be applied directly onto plaster walls or plaster mortars, except under the responsibility of the user and after an acrylic primer has been applied. The overdosage of water reduces the expected quality of the products. Ready-to-mix plasters contain cement which is classified as an irritant. Consult the safety instructions and precautions listed in the Material Safety Data Sheet of the product.
• In bags of 25 kg, on pallets. • In a dry place where frost does not form, for 12 months from the date of production, in unopened bags.
Approximately 13-14 kg/m2, depending on the type of substrate and its preparation.
