FL PANOPLY PRO

FIBER-REINFORCED CEMENT MORTAR FOR THE ADHESION OF THERMAL INSULATION BOARDS AND FIBERGLASS MESH, CS IV, Wc2 FL PANOPLY PRO is a cementitious mortar, enriched with polymers and fibers, used for bonding thermal insulation boards to brick walls, cellular concrete, exposed concrete, old plastered surfaces, etc. It is also used for placing/embedding the fiberglass mesh on the external side of the insulation board prior to the application of the top coat plasters.

  • It provides high bonding strength between the insulation boards and the substrate, as well as resistance to environmental changes and moisture.
  • It is characterized by high resistance to compression and bending, as well as easy coating of the fiberglass mesh.
  • Medium granulometry material that ensures very high workability and applicability in large thicknesses.
  • Homogeneous, ready-to-mix, industrial product of consistently high quality.
  • It ensures increased application speed, it is economical and provides excellent results.

Composition & Features

Mixture of high specifications white cement, crushed marble of strictly selected granulometry and quality, polymers, polypropylene fibers and other special improving additives.

Application
  • The substrate must be clean, firm and free of any debris (scattered particles of plaster or mortar, dust, grease, etc.).
  • The contents of the bag are gradually added to clean water (approximately 5.0 – 5.5 l/bag 25 kg) under continuous stirring using an electric mixer at low speed until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. The mixture is left to cure for 5 minutes and then stirred again before the application.

Bonding of insulation boards to masonry

  • The adhesive is applied to the surface of the insulation board:
    • covering its entire surface with a serrated putty knife (10 mm x 10 mm to 15 mm x 15 mm) on smooth substrates
    • covering at least 40% of the surface of the board (around the perimeter and additionally to 3-4 points in the center) with a mixture thickness of ~2-3 cm in the case of uneven substrates.
  • After a period of 2-3 days (in low temperatures a longer period is required) from the bonding of the thermal insulation boards, they should be fastened with the special anchoring connectors.

Installation of the fiberglass mesh

  • Then a layer of adhesive about 3-4 mm thick is applied to the external side of the insulation board and while the adhesive is still damp, the fiberglass mesh is placed on the surface and embedded using a smooth putty knife, so that it is eventually completely covered by the adhesive.
  • Before and during the application of the adhesive and for at least eight hours afterwards, the installation surfaces should be protected from exposure to climatic or environmental conditions (wind, rain, high temperatures, etc.).
  • During the application of the product the temperature should be between +5 °C and +35 °C.

All the above-mentioned thermal insulation works should start after the completion of plastering, flooring, perimeter sealing, etc. In particular, a waiting period of at least 3-5 weeks is required after the completion of these works. The FL PANOPLY PRO mortar contains cement which is classified as an irritant. Consult the safety instructions and precautions listed in the Material Safety Data Sheet of the product.

Packaging & Storage
  • In bags of 25 kg.
  • 12 months from the date of production, in intact original packaging. Stored in a shaded and dry place, protected from moisture and frost.
Consumption
  • Insulation board bonding: 4-6 kg/m2 depending on the type and quality of the substrate.
  • Fiberglass mesh reinforcement: ~1.5 kg/m2 (for each mm thickness / 100% surface area).
Technical Specifications
