TC500 FINE

Top coat plaster

TC500 FINE is a decorative thin coat plaster and it is used as a top coat on interior and exterior surfaces. It is applied on top of the base coat plaster, and after its application, no painting of the plastered surfaces is required. Homogeneous, ready-to-mix, industrial product of consistently high quality. It ensures good workability, increased application speed, it is economical and provides excellent results.

Composition & Features

• Mixture of high quality white cement, crushed marble of strictly selected granulometry and quality, hydrated lime and special improving additives. • Classified according to EN 998-1:2016 as a plaster type: GP, CS II, Wc0

Application

• The substrate must be clean and firm and it is recommended that it is wetted before application. • The contents of the bag shall be gradually added to clean water (approximately 5,0 l/bag) using a traditional concrete mixer or modern plastering machines. • TC 500 FINE is applied over the base coat plaster using a hawk or stainless steel putty knife or directly with the plastering machine. The thickness of the application layer should be approximately 3-4 mm. It can also be applied in two coats, with the second coat being applied before the first is completely dry. The total thickness of the plaster is recommended not to exceed 0.5 cm. For the purposes of application and finishing, a metal hawk or putty knife may be used immediately after application. • After the plaster has set to a satisfactory degree (the time required depends on weather conditions, application thickness and substrate), the finished surface is smoothed by hand, sanding in a circular motion using a float with a hard wet sponge. For best results, a float with a dry sponge is then used. Ready-mixed plasters should not be applied directly onto plaster walls or plaster mortars, except under the responsibility of the user and after an acrylic primer has been applied. The overdosage of water reduces the expected quality of the products. Ready-to-mix plasters contain cement which is classified as an irritant. Consult the safety instructions and precautions listed in the Material Safety Data Sheet of the product. • For optimum results, the finishing of surfaces should be carried out immediately after plastering, without any interruptions in between. • The application of the plaster should be carried out at temperatures between +5 oC and +35 oC.

Packaging & Storage

• In bags of 25 kg, on pallets. • In a dry place where frost does not form, for 12 months from the date of production, in unopened bags.

Consumption

Approximately 5.0 kg/m2 for a thickness of 3 mm, depending on the type of substrate.
